create a class-map
To create Layer 2 or Layer 3 (the default) class-map to match packets to a specified class, use this
command:
Command Syntax Command Mode Usage
class-map {match-all | match-any}
class-map-name [layer2]
To delete an existing class-map, use the no class-map {match-all | match-any} class-map-name [layer2]
command. Figure 201 illustrates how to create a class-map.
Figure 201 class-map Command Example
configure a class-map
To configure a class-map, use one of the following commands to set up the match criteria:
• match ip access-group on page 290
• QoS Exception Handling Rules on page 290
• match ip precedence on page 291
CONFIGURATION
(config-class-map)
Force10#config t
Force10(conf)#class-map match-any ClassMap05
Force10(conf)#end
Force10#
Packets arriving at the input interface are
checked against the match criteria, configured
using this command, to determine if the packet
belongs to that class. This command enables the
class-map configuration mode. The parameters
are:
• match-all: Determines how packets are
evaluated when multiple match criteria exist.
Enter the keyword match-all to determine
that the packets must meet all the match
criteria in order to be considered a member of
the class.
• match-any: Determines how packets are
evaluated when multiple match criteria exist.
Enter the keyword match-any to determine
that the packets must meet at least one of the
match criteria in order to be considered a
member of the class.
• class-map-name: Enter a name of the class
for the class-map in a character format (16
character maximum).
• (OPTIONAL) layer2: Enter to specify a Layer
2 class map. This option is available for
E-Series only.
Default: Layer 3
