The schedule of actions possible with an infraction of regulations is:<br />

1) Conference regarding violation and a warning<br />

2) In-school probation or suspension<br />

3) Parent-teacher conference<br />

4) Parent-administrator conference<br />

5) Detention<br />

6) Withhold grades, diploma and transcripts<br />

7) Suspension and/or Saturday Opportunity Class<br />

8) Arrest<br />

9) Transfer to another school<br />

10) Transfer to another specialized program or continuation school<br />

11) Expulsion from the district<br />

E 5144(a)<br />

It is grounds for suspension or expulsion to cause, attempt to cause, or even threaten to cause physical injury to another person or willfully use force or violence upon another person,<br />

except in self-defense. It is also grounds for suspension or expulsion to harass, threaten or intimidate a student who is a complaining witness or witness in a school disciplinary proceeding<br />

to prevent that student from being a witness. Retaliating against a student for being a witness is also grounds for suspension or expulsion. Students who cause, attempt to cause, threaten<br />

or participate in an act of hate violence (as defined in Education Code 33032.5) are also subject to suspension or expulsion.<br />

AR 5144.1<br />

Students who harass other students shall be subject to appropriate counseling and discipline, up to and including expulsion. An employee who permits or engages in harassment may be<br />

subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.<br />

BP 5145.3<br />

<strong>District</strong> employees who permit or engage in discrimination or harassment may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.<br />
