The CRPF has achieved many milestones in combating Naxalism, insurgency and terrorism. It has provided the states with unstinted support in maintaining law and order. Its role in strengthening the internal security architecture of the country is commendable. I am sure the Force would prosper and flourish and the valour of its men would win it more recognition in the years to come. x`gea=kh] Hkkjr HOME MINISTER OF INDIA MESSAGE I am delighted to learn that Central Reserve Police Force is celebrating its 73 rd Anniversary . The CRPF performs an extremely important and arduous task to secure the citizens of India against the nefarious activities and designs of Naxals, saboteurs and terrorists. The force had played a significant role in eradicating terrorism in Punjab and now is on the forefront in combating Naxal menace in LWE area. It is also playing critical role in the fight against terrorism in J&K and insurgency in North-East. Known for valour, discipline and devotion to duty a large number of brave soldiers of the CRPF have laid down their lives at the altar of duty. The force has also won numerous gallantry and distinguished Service medals since its raising. On the special occasion, I convey my wishes to all ranks of the Force and their families and exhort them to remain ever alert and committed to their goals.
