It is globally accepted today that quality
education should be provided to
every child without any discrimination
whether the child is a boy or girl, rich or
poor. Therefore, everyone whether rich
or poor, strives to ensure that his or her
child gets admission in a proper school
right from the Play School level leave
aside High School or College education.
Thus, every school is expected to give
its best to the children studying in
it and provide appropriate, modern
and updated infrastructures, study
materials, congenial environment,
rich library, adequate facilities for
sports and games, provisions for cocurricular
activities, well equipped
laboratories, very good teachers with
appropriate educational qualifications
and experience and proper hygiene
and sanitation in the school campus
including proper toilets.

enables the mind to find out truth
which emancipates us from a bondage
of the dust and gives us the wealth,
not of things but of inner life, not of
power but of the love, making the
truth and giving expression to it as a
natural choice. Values such as integrity,
responsibility, discipline, commitment,
patriotism etc. are considered as old
fashion by a few in the society. These
may be old values but they are certainly
not obsolete. They have stood the test
of time and will be here for ever. These
values have the same meaning in New
York or London or elsewhere as in New
Delhi. They are universal.
Since parents are keen that their
children should have education in
reasonably good schools and demand
for such schools is increasing day by
day, there has been mushroom growth
of such schools suffixing the words
“International School”. They make all
possible publicity to attract the parents
and children. The fee structures of most
of such schools are prohibitive. Many
private schools in the country have
become profit making business centres
and the quality of education is not, in
many schools, as per the expectations
of the parents.
Excessive home work, harsh teachers
with inadequate teaching experience
and knowledge of the subjects they
teach, mishandling of the children by
the teachers, abnormal sessions in
the school which does not allow the
children even to have their food in time
etc. are the important features of some
of these schools. Instead of making the
students to understand certain things
methodically, they are made to just
memorise it. Thus the child’s originality
and further developments in life are
damaged in the initial schooling days
itself.
