WELFARE
The welfare of the dependants of CRPF
personnel who die at the call of duty or
get injured and invalidated from service
has remained our sincere concern. In
the event of death of CRPF personnel
next of kin of the deceased are given
lump-sum grants from Risk Fund.
As per point raised in G.B. Meeting for
the year 2009-10 held on 16/12/2010
a Board was constituted to increase
the benefits in Death/Invalidation
cased from CWF. Accordingly as per
recommendation of the Board a sum
of Rs. 60,000/- in each death case is
being paid w.e.f 01/07/2011 to NOK as
financial assistance out of CWF. During
the period i.e. w.e.f. 1/10/2011 to
15/10/2012 a sum of Rs. 4,00,00,000/-
has been paid to NOKs in 720 death
cases.
(a) Rate of subscription of Risk Fund
has been increased from Rs.250/- to
300/- wef 01/04/2012.
(b) In death cases, benefit of
Risk Fund has been increased wef.
01/03/2012 and amount of benefit
will be distributed between NOK and
parents as mentioned below:-

increased wef. 01/03/2012 as

1-50% Rs. 4 Lacs
51-75% Rs. 6 Lacs
76-100% Rs. 8 Lacs
Rs. 2,500/- p.m. as recurring payment
for life time in 100% disability in
action only.
CRPF WIVES’ WELFARE ASSOCIATION
(CWWA)
Ninety percent of the Force is deployed
in Jammu & Kashmir, the North East
and Naxalite infested areas of Central
India. These are high-risk zones. The
force personnel are, therefore not
able to keep families with them. The
separated families are settled in various
Group Centres across the country.
In order to meet this responsibility of
looking after these separated families,
the Family Welfare Centres were set up.
These Family Welfare Centres provide
a platform to the families to showcase
their talent. In order to coordinate
the activities of all FWCs, to provide it
direction and to achieve will set goals,
the CRPF Wives’ Welfare Association
(CWWA) was registered as a Society in
1995.
The main aims and objectives of the
“CRPF Wives’ Welfare Association” are
to generate a sense of accomplishment
in the minds of CRPF ladies and develop
managerial skill in them, to promote
programmes for rehabilitation of
widows and the disabled, to p u r s u e
programmes to facilitate development
of academic/vocational skills, training
