Evaluation scheme for Practical
The students will be evaluated internally in the laboratory courses. There will be two
components of this evaluation, i.e. Evaluation of guided experiments and evaluation of
assigned unguided experiment(s). Evaluation of guided experiments will have 70%
weightage and evaluation of assigned unguided experiment(s) 30%.

Evaluation Guided Experiments
The students will be evaluated for performing the experiments by the counsellor. For
a particular experiment, split up of marks may be broadly on the following lines:
a) Actual performance of experiment and observation 40%
(psychomotor and manipulative skills)
b) Reporting 20%
(Problem solving skills)
c) Viva-voce 20%
d) Record 20%

Evaluation of Assigned Unguided Experiments
It will be conducted in the last session of the laboratory work. The student should not be
provided any guidance while performing this experiment. For this experiment 30% marks
are allotted, split up of marks may be broadly on the following lines:

a) Actual performance of experiment and observation 50%
(psychomotor and manipulative skills)
b) Reporting 25%
(Problem solving skills)
c) Viva-voce 25%
C Preparation of Consolidated Mark List
The consolidated mark list of all students who attend the lab course may be prepared
using the proforma given in Form 3. This mark list should be directly sent to the
following address within a week of conducting the lab courses:

NEW DELHI – 110 068.
The break-up of marks prepared for each student as per proforma given in Form 1 and
Form 2 may be handed over to the coordinator of the study centre. The coordinator is
requested to keep these records under safe custody for any further use.
