Implementatie en validatie van regelstrategieën voor variable speed windturbines in een smart grid.
K.U.Leuven
Abstract: This doctoral research aims to implement and validate control strategies that are found in literature for variable speed, small-scaled wind
turbines. These control strategies add specific concepts for variable speed wind turbines like Active Stall to the classic control strategies of
Maximum Power Point Tracking. At the grid-side of the inverter there is an optimal in feed of power thanks to the Active Front End. Power quality
aspects and the role for the AFE as a local provider of active and reactive power can be studied in the context of the functioning of a smart grid. The
interaction between the possibilities and restrictions of MPPT with the boundary conditions of a smart grid is a domain with a lot of research
possibilities. At first the validation of the control strategies can be made with numerical simulations and with experiments on the test bench that
emulates a grid-connected wind turbine alternator. The idea is to implement the results on a new wind turbine on the Campus De
From the Development of Dogma to Contextual Historical Consciousness: J.H. Newman and Yves Congar on the Role of
History in the Determination of the Christian Tradition of Faith
K.U.Leuven
Abstract: This project is intended to provide a critical and comparative study ofthe parallels and differences between Newman#s and Congar#s
views on the way in which the Christian community seeks to identify and articulate the content of its tradition of faith. More specifically, the project
will research the relationship between Newman#s nineteenth-century Anglican-Catholic approach to the #historical# character of the Christian
tradition of Faith and the twentieth-century approach developed by the ecumenically-minded Catholic Congar. In doing so, light will be shed on,
among other important topics, the way in which shifting historical contexts affect both the content and the mediation of tradition. The role of the
Church in the emergence of the Christian doctrinal tradition, according to Newman and Congar, will also be illuminated. Finally, the nature of
Congar's appropriation of Newman's thought will illustrate a very specific way in which the latter enjoyed influence at the Second Vatican C
'Aufklärung durch Philologie'. The Contribution of Johann Jakob Wettstein (1693-1754) to the Exegesis of the Acts of the
Apostles
K.U.Leuven
Abstract: This doctoral project is strongly connected to the 'Der Neue Wettstein'-project which is situated at the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-
Wittemberg (Germany). Concerning the theological disciplines, the project covers the History of New Testament Exegesis as well as Church History
and Systematic Theology and should bring out Johann Jakob Wettsteins specificway of conducting New Testament Exegesis. Because of the fact
that the project is concentrated on Wettsteins exegesis of the Acts of the Apostles a connection between this project and the Der Wettstein-volume
on theActs of the Apostles appears to be highly reasonable
