2012 <strong>Town</strong> Meeting Deliberative Session<br />
ARTICLE 9<br />
To see if the <strong>Town</strong> will vote to raise and appropriate the sum <strong>of</strong> Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred<br />
and Seventy Dollars ($16,470) from the Land Use Change Tax Fund (Fund #14) for the purpose <strong>of</strong> open<br />
space/conservation and placing said balance into the Open Space/Conservation Expendable Trust Fund.<br />
The Selectmen are agents to expend.<br />
(Recommended by the Board <strong>of</strong> Selectmen 5 - 0)<br />
Miller Lovett motioned to approve Article 9 as proposed, seconded by Nate Torr.<br />
Holly Tetreault asked if this money is already earmarked for a project. Colette Worsman explained that<br />
there is no specific project scheduled. Holly went on to further suggest it be used to clean up the mess in<br />
Swan Forest that was created by the Conservation Commission.<br />
With a show <strong>of</strong> voter cards Article 9 passed.<br />
Phil Warren took a moment to apologize to Holly Tetreault for having the tree from the Community<br />
Garden in <strong>Meredith</strong> Center, included in the pictures <strong>of</strong> Child’s Park on the <strong>Town</strong> Report.<br />
James Hughes reminded the board that in 2018 the <strong>Town</strong> will be celebrating it’s 250 th birthday and<br />
suggested that a Committee be named to begin the planning for the celebration.<br />
Peter Brothers spoke about Colette Worsman’s tenure as a Board member, and asked for a standing<br />
ovation which was held for her.<br />
