Marshall Amplification began in 1962 in the UK, where Jim Marshall had a music shop and taught drums.
As drummers came to his shop, so came their guitarist bandmates. The guitarists spoke to Jim Marshall
about the guitars they wanted and the qualities they were looking for in an amplifier — qualities that they
couldn’t find anywhere at that time. It was from such conversations that Marshall launched his amp manufacturing business.

JVM 4-channel Series
4-channel Tube Head
Ultimate Marshall tone, unprecedented control! The 100-watt JVM410H all-tube head gives you four
channels, each with three distinct modes: Green, Orange, and Red. The channels and modes combine
for a whopping 12 unique amp sounds, allowing you to dial in everything from a clean, pristine tone
(channel 1) to classic crunch (Plexi to JCM800 range, anyone?) on channel 2. From there, Marshall
ups the ante with another gain channel, bringing you great metal and shred tones. The fourth
channel adds even more gain (!), unleashing even more rich harmonics and blanketing sustain. Five
ECC83 (12AX7 for us Yanks) preamp tubes and four EL34 power amp tubes are at the heart of this
beast, which can be kept in check remotely with the included 6-way, fully programmable footswitch.
The front panel of the JVM410H features the simple, logical kind of layout you’ve come to expect
from Marshall, with dedicated Gain, EQ, Volume, and Reverb controls for each channel. A master
section features dual Master Volume knobs, plus Resonance and Presence controls for quick tonal
tweaks. The 1960 Series cabinets, loaded with four 12" Celestion speakers, offer an ideal match to
this head. The 1960A is the angled, or “top” cab, while the 1960B is the straight-front bottom. Also
available are the 1960AV and 1960BV cabinets, which contain Marshall/Celestion 70-watt Vintage

Plugging into the Vintage Modern 2266
all-tube, 50-watt head gives you the best of
two great worlds. This single-channel amp
actually functions like two amps from different
eras, courtesy of two footswitchable “dynamic
ranges” that actually change the gain staging
of the 2266’s preamp. Choosing the Low range
gives you vintage Marshall tone and gain, while
the High range lights up an extra preamp tube
for classic rock tones. Modern features include
a master volume, mid-boost switch, and FX
loop. The Vintage Modern 2466 gives you
the same features in a 100-watt head, while the
Vintage Modern 2266C is a 50-watt, 2 x 12"
combo version of the 2266. Vintage Modern
425A (angled front) and 425B cabinets
(straight-front) are mono/stereo switchable
and loaded with 4 x 12" G12C 25-watt Celestion
Greenback speakers.
