The Eric Johnson Stratocaster, the brainchild of Eric himself,
features a light 2-piece alder body dressed in a very thin nitrocellulose lacquer, a 1-piece
quarter-sawn soft “V” maple neck with a 12" fingerboard radius, and 21 highly polished
frets. Additional features include staggered vintage-style machine heads (eliminating
the string tree), custom pickups wound to Eric’s specifications, and a highly contoured
body and neck. It includes a ‘57-style string recess with no paint between the base plate
and the block. Other unique appointments featured on Eric’s signature axe include a
custom neck plate engraved with an “EJ” and Kokopelli etching, a 4-spring tremolo, and
countersunk pickup mounting screws.

bends, and Stevie’s favored inverted left-hand vintage tremolo unit (a nod to one of his

with a jewel-like polyurethane finish. The 12" radius, gloss-finished maple neck includes
