Modeling amps and devices are old
hat, having seen a decade or better of
heavy use by guitarists. It seems only fitting
that one of the coolest shake-ups to come along in modeling
amps be instigated by an innovator in the field. The Spider
Valve Series merges the best of Line 6 modeling technology
with a long-time love of guitarists, the tube amp. Developed
in cooperation with Reinhold Bogner, the valve-driven Spiders
integrate Line 6’s amp-modeling technology on the front
end with a modern all-tube power amp circuit. This gives
guitarists a “best-of-both-worlds” scenario, with the flexibility
of a modeling amp with pure tube tones. The Spider Valve is
available in 1 x 12" and 2 x 12" combo configurations,
both pushing 40 watts through Celestion Vintage 30s. A
100-watt head version and cabinet are also available.

Modeling Guitar Amp
The latest member of Line 6’s popular Spider III family is the Micro
Spider, a super-portable battery-powered combo amp that offers
four amp models along with an acoustic guitar model. Six effects are
on-board along with Line 6 staples, such as a POD-style direct output for
recording. Perfect for jamming anywhere, the Micro Spider is powered by
six “C” batteries and pushes six watts through a 6.5" speaker.
The larger Spider III amps offer an amazing variety of sounds with
over 150 presets crafted by the cream of the guitarist crop, and an
additional 250-plus presets designed to capture the tone and feel of some
of the greatest guitar songs ever! Twelve custom amp models provide
everything from classic clean to in-your-face modern tones, and the Smart
Control FX offers seven different effect types, three of which can be used simultaneously . There’s
a Spider III to fit anyone’s budget or power needs. For bedroom jams and lower volume practices, the Spider III-15
offers 15 watts of modeling power through an 8" speaker. A step-up power-wise, the 30-watt Spider III-30 boasts
a 12" speaker. Line 6 offers a 75-watt version of the Spider III as well, with the 1 x 12" Spider III-75. For enough
power to handle larger gigs, there are the 120-watt Spider III-120 and 150-watt Spider III-150. These beefier
amps are loaded with a pair of 10" and 12" speakers, respectively. Great for practice, recording, and playing live, the
Spider III amps a great way to access a ton of tones in
a single unit.

Yet another evolution of Line 6 modeling technology is represented in
the Spider Jam. Packing 12 amp models, seven Smart Control effects,
and over 400 presets, the 75-watt Spider Jam is the ultimate practice
tool. The cool amp features over 100 audio jams and amazing drum
loops from top-flite session musicians. The front panel sports a guitar
input, an auxiliary input, an 1/8" jack for connecting a CD player or MP3
player, and a mic input for adding vocals. There’s also the Line 6-exclusive
Endless Jam Engine and a built-in looper capable of storing up to 24
minutes of recording. Players to literally jam for hours and record their
ideas and riffs straight to the amp without involving a computer! All of these
