VG Stratocaster
The VG Stratocaster ® includes all of the features you would
expect from Fender’s flagship American Series Strat ® — handrolled
fingerboard for broken-in feel, calibrated pickups, staggered
machine heads, and reduced body cavity routing (more wood equals
more tone). At first glance, the VG Stratocaster looks like a stock
alder American Series Strat, which is what it is deep down inside. But
at closer inspection you notice there’s certainly something going on
under the hood. The pickguard sports four knobs rather than three,
there’s a battery light, and a Roland GK pickup — and that is where
this Strat really departs from the norm.
