THE SWEETWATER DIFFERENCE — EXPERIENCE IT TODAY!
It’s all about Line 6
What was life like before Line 6?
Imagine being in a stuffy recording studio
already brimming with guitars, amps, and
stompboxes, and everything’s ground to a halt
because the guitarist is looking for that elusive
“it” sound that sits just right on a track.
Picture a stage with a monster backline of
amplifi ers and harried roadies running on- and
offstage with guitars, looking like ball boys at
a tennis match as they try to keep up with the
band’s need for tonal variety.
In the mid-1990s came a change, however.
Line 6 created the world’s fi rst digital modeling
amp, the AxSys 212, providing guitarists with
dozens of classic amp models, as well as
modeled stompbox and effects. Just around
the corner came more Line 6 amp varieties,
more models, and fi nally, the next step: POD.
Representing the next step in guitar recording,
POD freed players not only from being limited
by their amps, but even from being limited by
their recording environments. Now guitarists
could get great tone anywhere, anytime, from
a few simple knob twists on Line 6’s distinctive
kidney bean-shaped units. The POD line has
expanded to include bass models, fl oor and
rackmount versions for live use, even new
expanded models that include guitar, bass, and
even vocal modeling capabilities.
The newest generation of Line 6’s (now) old
standby, the modeling amp, has emerged with
an amazing convergence of up-to-the minute
digital modeling technology and classic tube
amp power.
It’s Line 6’s world. We’re just playing in it.
Pocket POD
Portable Amp and Effects Modeler
Line 6 packed 300-plus presets, 32 great amp models, 16
cabinet models, and 16 effects into a unit roughly the
size of a handheld tuner (that’s built-in, too)! You can
use the Pocket POD as an effective practice tool, or as a
full-blown multi-FX processor with your amp. It includes
a USB connection and access to free editing and tone
library software!
The new flagship of the POD line, POD X3 lets you plug in two
right: POD X3’s onboard models include mic preamps, too.
You can run each input source into an entireley independent
signal chain to double your fun. If you’re just plugging one
guitar in, though, the fun is just beginning — POD X3 lets
you play through two amp and effects chains at the same
time! Loaded with over 100 amp/cab models, an assortment
of top-notch mic preamp models, and over 90 modeled
effects, POD X3 is an incredibly versatile tool for any player.
POD X3 Live puts all this functionality into a stage-worthy
PODxt
Amp and Effects Modeler
Line 6’s PODxt gives you an astounding array of painstakingly
modeled amps, dozens of classic stompbox
compact chassis. With 128 user/factory
presets , you’ll have instant access to an
unbelievable collection of classic guitar
rigs. Imagine the sonic possibilities of
having all the coolest amps, cabs, mics,
stompboxes, and studio reverbs all
computer recording. And its flash-based
memory means easy upgrades to keep your
PODxt on the cutting edge. PODxt Live puts all
that functionality and tone into a handy pedal-style
unit, and piles on 80 more great effects models courtesy
of the included Effects Junkie Pack. The PODxt Pro
packs all that POD power and more into a top-notch
rackmountable unit.
POD 2
Guitar Modeling and Effects Processor
When POD first arrived on the scene, it revolutionized guitar
amp modeling. Now, POD is everywhere — the biggest tours, the
biggest records, the rigs of some of the best guitarists around. The
really cool thing is how guitarists of all styles love POD 2. It’s the
huge variety of amp modeling options that pulls them in, but it’s
the remarkable detail and realism of the sound that keeps them. In
short, POD 2 sounds so much like the real thing, you won’t believe
your ears. You get 32 customizable models of some of the world’s
most legendary amps including 1952 Fender Deluxe, 1995 Mesa
Boogie Dual Rectifier Head, 1964 Fender Deluxe, 1990 Marshall
JCM-800, 1989 Soldano SLO Super Lead Overdrive, and tons
more. POD 2 not only “models” the amp or cabinet, but
also the way a real cabinet sounds when recorded with a
microphone. There are also 16 pro quality digital effects
such as Reverb, Compressor, Flange, and many more. All
settings can be instantly tweaked and saved for further
recall from any of the onboard 36 presets. Also available:
The Floor POD (with 64 presets) and road-ready Floor
POD Plus, which includes 124 presets.
