etc/ldap.conf<br />

The file /etc/ldap.conf is the configuration file for the P<strong>AM</strong> and<br />

NSS LDAP modules.<br />

The most common parameters for the ldap.conf file are:<br />

host 192.168.3.1<br />

The IP address of your LDAP server<br />

base dc=whitemice,dc=org<br />

The start of your directory tree<br />

Port 389<br />

The port on which your LDAP server listens<br />

ldap_version 3<br />

Either 2 or 3, the LDAP protocol version of your LDAP server.<br />

Version is 2 for OpenLDAP 1.2.x and 3 for OpenLDAP 2.0.x
