The security directive is used to control the minimum security strength<br />

factor required to perform operations on the DSA.<br />

Can be specified globally or seperately for each database.<br />

Update operations may require a different security strength factor than<br />

search and authentication opterations.<br />

Security strength factor corresponds roughly to the length of the<br />

encryption key used to protect the communication.<br />

An SSF of 0 indicates no protection is operable.<br />

An SSF if 1 indicates some protection is operable.<br />

infomration on determining SSF values.
