and matrix elimination<br />
Professional IC system for ultratrace analysis in the<br />
lowest ppt range (ng/L) of cations or anions (nonsuppressed)<br />
in complex matrices. «ProfIC 9» with<br />
Metrohm inline sample preconcentration and matrix<br />
elimination allows chromatography unaffected by<br />
matrix influences and guarantees that the analytical<br />
column has a long lifetime.<br />
Metrohm inline calibration permits very low concentrations<br />
– in the lowest ppt range (ng/L) – to be reliably<br />
calibrated using a single standard of higher concentration<br />
in the ppb range.<br />
The sample is transferred to the preconcentration<br />
column fully automatically and with high precision by<br />
the intelligent 800 Dosino. The anions or cations are<br />
retained. The matrix can be removed in a rinsing step.<br />
The clean sample is then injected to the IC system.<br />
The 850 Professional IC – Prep 2 is equipped with<br />
an additional valve for liquid handling. The peristaltic<br />
pump transfers the standard solution. The intelligent<br />
MagIC Net software controls and monitors the system.<br />
Calibration and calculation of the results as a function<br />
of preconcentration volume is also carried out by the<br />
MagIC Net software. Even if complex procedures are<br />
involved, operating the system is perfectly easy.<br />
