«ProfIC 11 – Anion» – Professional IC system<br />
for trace analysis with inline calibration, sample<br />
preconcentration, matrix elimination and matrix<br />
neutralization<br />
Professional IC system for ultratrace analysis of anions<br />
in complex matrices. «ProfIC 11» with Metrohm inline<br />
neutralization, sample preconcentration and matrix<br />
elimination allows chromatography unaffected by<br />
matrix influences and guarantees that the analytical<br />
column has a long lifetime.<br />
Metrohm inline calibration permits very low concentrations<br />
– in the ppt range (ng/L) – to be reliably calibrated<br />
using a single standard of higher concentration<br />
– in the ppb range.<br />
The sample is transferred to the preconcentration column<br />
fully automatically and with high precision by the<br />
intelligent 800 Dosino. On its way it passes through<br />
the sample preparation module, where complete cation<br />
exchange takes place. This means that it is possible<br />
to neutralize both acids and alkalis. The matrix is then<br />
removed from the preconcentration column in a rinsing<br />
step. The clean and pH-neutral sample is then injected<br />
to the IC system.<br />
The 850 Professional IC – Prep 3 is equipped with a<br />
sample preparation module. Sample and rinsing solution<br />
are delivered by the 800 Dosino. A valve on the<br />
858 Professional Sample Processor switches sampling<br />
and sample transfer. The 872 Extension Module is used<br />
for inline calibration. The intelligent MagIC Net software<br />
controls and monitors the system.<br />
Calibration and calculation of the results as a function<br />
of preconcentration volume are provided by the MagIC<br />

procedures are involved, operating the system is perfectly<br />

«ProfIC 11» features intelligent system components<br />
such as the iPump and the iDetector and provides<br />
space for a total of three iColumns. The system is<br />
equipped with sequential suppression.<br />
The 858 Professional Sample Processor – Pump – Injector<br />
provides for sample delivery. Numerous sample<br />
racks for volumes 0.5...500 mL are available.<br />
