The School of Science offers courses and programs<br />
in mathematics, computer science and in the<br />
earth, life and physical sciences. Students can<br />
choose from two certificate, two diploma and one<br />
degree program depending on their education and<br />
employment goals.<br />
The nine-week <strong>Yukon</strong> Fisheries Field Assistant<br />
program is an intensive course that gives students<br />
the training necessary to do fisheries-related work.<br />
The one-year Science program is designed for<br />
students who wish to transfer into the second year<br />
of a Bachelor of Science program at a Canadian<br />
university or to prepare to study engineering.<br />
The two-year Renewable Resources Management<br />
program prepares students both to work in the<br />
renewable resource sector, or to transfer into a<br />
science degree program at a university.<br />
The two-year Northern Science program is<br />
designed for those who wish either to enter a<br />
scientific profession or to work in the North at the<br />
technical level.<br />
The four-year Environmental and Conservation<br />
Sciences program allows students to complete a<br />
university science degree without leaving the <strong>Yukon</strong>.<br />
The School of Science also offers a Water and<br />
Wastewater Operator program which is designed to<br />
meet the needs of water and wastewater operators<br />
working within municipal, territorial, federal or First<br />
Nations’ governments.<br />
