Lesson: Identifying Voice, Audience and Purpose Using the three preceding articles students create two separate tree maps identifying the voice within the articles and the intended audience. Tree Map One: Examples of Voice At the top write "Exploding Whale". The three stems are the three article titles. Under each of the article titles, students pick out specific examples of voice.
