screws with the heads cut off, in the<br />

rear end plate.<br />

48. Install the air inlet fitting gasket<br />

and spring in the control valve<br />

body, then install the retainer.<br />

49. Install the diaphragm inserting<br />

the diaphragm stem into the piston<br />

hole. Place the diaphragm<br />

spring, gasket and control valve<br />

body on top of the diaphragm.<br />

50. Remove the guide pins, one<br />

at a time, and replace each guide pin<br />

with an attaching screw and a new<br />

lockwasher. Tighten the screws progressively<br />

and firmly.<br />

51. Install the hydraulic and vacuum<br />

by-pass tubes.<br />

52. Inspect the assembly to see<br />

that all the bolts, nuts, screws, washers,<br />

and plugs are in place, and that<br />

all tubes, clamps, and fittings are<br />

firmly tightened.<br />

53. Remove the lubricating plugs<br />

from the end and center plates. Add<br />

vacuum cylinder oil to the level of<br />

the filler plug holes.<br />

54. Install and tighten the plugs.
