What is even more obvious are the terraces, constructed by George
Llewellyn Palmer between 1900 and 1904 (the attributable date of the
first image of them currently known, see Fig. 41 below ).
There is a photograph which shows the ha-ha still in position, the line of
old dry stone walling just visible in the bottom right of the picture. Thus
the photograph must be later than 1899, although probably not much
later.
