JAMES REID WILSON<br />
Jim is a quiet conscientious member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Class <strong>of</strong> ‘31. An honour graduate <strong>of</strong> King Edward<br />
High School, his chief interests centre in Mathe<br />
matics and Physics. He is an active member <strong>of</strong><br />
the Mathematics and Physics Clubs, and when not<br />
engaged in astronomical and physical calculations,<br />
finds muds interest in the work <strong>of</strong> secretary <strong>of</strong> the<br />
V.C.U. Jim is an enthusiastic soccerite and hiker,<br />
Next year Jim intends to take Education and then—<br />
to sport his knowledge on the rising generation.<br />

LAURENCE OGILVIE WRIGHT<br />
“Stu” began his college days in the old buildings<br />
at Fairview witis Arts ‘27. After an absence <strong>of</strong> four<br />
years, spent in the employ <strong>of</strong> the Consolidated Min<br />
ing and Smelting Company, he returned to flisish his<br />
education with Arts ‘31. Although he takes no<br />
active part in college sports, “Stu” is one <strong>of</strong> our<br />
enthtisiastic supporters and it is whispered that he<br />
wields a wicked bar at baseball. His pleasing person<br />
ality has won him a number <strong>of</strong> friends.<br />
CHARLENE VERNA LOIS WAKELY<br />
Verns is one <strong>of</strong> those delightful persons who<br />
are always ready to hear everybody’s confidences,<br />
from “What happened last night,” to a post-mortem<br />
<strong>of</strong> German lectures. Though she seems to visit the<br />
stacks but rarely, she has undergone with suave<br />
difference the delights <strong>of</strong> high history marks, and<br />
the terrors <strong>of</strong> English 9 and Ec. 6. Football is her<br />
hobby (or is it a certain football player?). To those<br />
fortunate people who know her, she has proved a<br />
charming friend.<br />
