INCE the College irst opened its doors in September, 1927, Principal<br />
J’ Brown and the College faculty have striven to create and maintain<br />
the atmosphere and environment <strong>of</strong> an ideal home for university men.”<br />
Tradition is being made.<br />
This year about forty up and coming” men drawn from all facul<br />
ties have found comfort in the downy cots and lucrative study in the<br />
comfortable rooms. When chosen as Rhodes Scholar for 1931, James A.<br />
Gibson injected a highly commendable element into the College tradi<br />
tion. Gradually the College is being possessed by a high standard <strong>of</strong><br />
scholarship.<br />
Yet withal, interest in things musical, dramatic, forensic and athletic<br />
continues apace. Every phase <strong>of</strong> <strong>University</strong> life is indulged in and<br />
appreciated by the residents. Among the most enjoyable events are the<br />
inter-dormitory entertainments sponsored in turn by the Anglican and<br />
the Union College residents. Entertainment musical, dramatical, and<br />
what have you, is provided solely by respective inmates and reveal un<br />
