Science ‘34<br />
1?LT ITH the commencement <strong>of</strong> the second term the Class <strong>of</strong> Science<br />
‘ ‘34 found itself relatively intact as compared to former years, only<br />
nineteen having got their baccalaureate at Christmas.<br />
The Class easily upheld the reputation <strong>of</strong> all second year Science<br />
classes, working hard on the stadium campaign, being sponsors <strong>of</strong> one<br />
<strong>of</strong> the best dances the <strong>University</strong> ever held, and staging a highly success<br />
ful Class Party.<br />
In athletics the Class had Gaul and Ledingham on the McKechnie<br />
Cup team, and Hall, Tyerman, Bolton and McGuire on the Canadian<br />
Big Four team. To date the Soccer team has won three out <strong>of</strong> their four<br />
games and the Basketball team two out <strong>of</strong> their four games and are still<br />
in the running for both cups.<br />
In conformity with the usual practice <strong>of</strong> Science classes, red sweaters,<br />
as emblematic <strong>of</strong> the engineering pr<strong>of</strong>ession, were adopted.<br />
The executive includes: Honorary President, Mr. H. G. Smith;<br />
President, Alec McGuire; Secretary, Claire Donaldson; Treasurer, Tod<br />
Harris; Literary Rep., John Sumner; Athletic Rep., Glen Ledingham.<br />
