Interior Design<br />

Associate in Applied Science — AAS 3125<br />

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum prepares<br />

students to work in an entry-level interior design position. The<br />

program provides both general education and interior design<br />

classes including basic design, color theory and application,<br />

architectural and furniture history, drafting, space planning,<br />

interior materials, rendering, and business procedures. Studio<br />

projects allow students to identify, research, solve, and present<br />

residential design problems. An integral part of the program is<br />

a design internship, which provides on-the-job experience<br />

under the supervision of a professional interior designer.<br />

Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in<br />

all courses required within the program.<br />

The AAS (Associate in Applied Science) in Audio Production<br />

Technologies certificate and degree program offers students an<br />

opportunity to receive training on industry-standard equipment<br />

by instructors with real-world experience and professional<br />

resumes. Students learn the concepts and theory associated with<br />

recording arts technologies while applying them in lab settings<br />

appropriate to their skill levels. Students completing the degree<br />

in Audio Production Technologies will gain the knowledge<br />

base, competency, and confidence they need to enter the<br />

commercial music marketplace.<br />
