The Certificate of Completion in Surveying Technology is a<br />
program of study designed to provide students with skills for<br />
surveying positions of responsible charge in the field or office of<br />
local municipalities or consulting firms. Students in this<br />
program receive education and training that enables them to<br />
perform multiple surveying tasks related to boundaries,<br />
construction, and mapping.<br />
Program graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as<br />
survey instrument persons or survey technicians.<br />
Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better for<br />
all courses required within the program. Students planning to<br />
transfer to a four-year college or university should contact the<br />
Industrial Technology faculty or the Advisement Center for<br />
specific information on transfer requirements.<br />

Welding<br />

The Certificate of Completion in Welding is designed to prepare<br />
students for entry level positions in the manufacturing and<br />
welding industries as well as to provide updated skills to<br />
currently employed welders. Certification exams for the<br />
American Welding Society (A.W.S.) are incorporated into the<br />
advanced classes. Program completers may obtain positions in<br />
almost any industry requiring arc, metallic inert gas (mig), or<br />
tungsten inert gas (tig) welding skills.<br />
