Replacing the hard drive<br />
Tools you need to complete this task:<br />
Phillips #0 screwdriver<br />
Screws removed during this task:<br />
• 1 black M2×5 (hard drive)<br />
• 2 chrome M3×3 (hard drive bracket)<br />
Non-marring plastic scribe<br />
To replace the hard drive:<br />
1 Complete the steps in “Preparing the notebook” on page 47.<br />
2 Complete the steps in “Removing the bay cover” on page 49.<br />
3 Remove the hard drive screw.<br />
4 Grasp the black mylar tab and use it to disengage the hard drive from its connector,<br />
and then remove the drive from its compartment.
