This required state-designed speech course is a mandatory<br />
communication course for all high school students. The goal is for<br />
students to learn effective interpersonal skills, verbal and non-verbal<br />
messages, presentation skills, group/team work and interview skills in<br />
order to be successful in the workplace. Students will give informal<br />
and formal presentations. All students must successfully complete<br />
this course for the .5-speech credit required for graduation.<br />
Students will study the history, functions, and laws affecting<br />
broadcast media. They will consider the impact of radio and television<br />
on society. They will be involved with script composition, production<br />
techniques, and the role of the broadcast media consumer.<br />
451601 Debate I Students will study specific formats and forums for debate. They will<br />
