Adobe Bluffs - Poway Unified School District

The Ell team will meet with the principal to review the progress of students and
check up on those who are being recommended for re-designation. The standard will
be 330 or higher on the CST and 4 or 5 on CELDT. (March-May).
The team consisting of the ELL coordinators, SSC, ELL Impact teacher and
Instructional assistant will make recommendations on technology and curriculum
materials to be purchased for use next year.
Students with Disabilities
Forming:
The Special Education staff will meet with the principal to identify ways to support
staff working with students with disabilities.
Special education staff will attend ongoing training for new curriculum assessments
and new procedures by district office personnel.
The Adobe Bluffs staff will create a list of questions they have about special
education policies or laws.
The Special Education team will provide Adobe Bluffs an in-service designated to
answer their questions and give updates on services and laws. District personnel will
be asked to assist if necessary.
Implementing:
The progress of special education students will be reviewed by the special ed team
and principal using MAP test scores and classroom assessments.
Staff will share successful curriculum and differentiate instruction for student ability
levels.
The principal will coordinate a vertical articulation meeting devoted to the topic of
differentiating for special ed. students. (Nov. – Feb.)
Site principal will advocate at the district level for extra support as needed.
Evaluating and Recommending:
The RSP and Speech teacher will facilitate staff training and create an online powerpoint
to support teacher participation in the SST process and at IEP meetings.
The instructional assistant will support struggling students in class per IEP.
