<strong>EFG</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> <strong>Group</strong>’s Activities<br />

The <strong>Group</strong><br />

Intern<strong>at</strong>ionally, the <strong>Group</strong>’s main activities are<br />

priv<strong>at</strong>e banking and <strong>as</strong>set management. The<br />

<strong>Group</strong> services its worldwide clientele through<br />

offices in Geneva (head office), Athens (and<br />

other Greek cities), Guernsey, Helsinki, Hong<br />

Kong, Jersey, London (and Birmingham),<br />

Luxembourg, Miami, Monaco, Singapore,<br />

Stockholm (and other Swedish cities), Taipei<br />

and Zurich (and other Swiss cities). The <strong>Group</strong><br />

also h<strong>as</strong> represent<strong>at</strong>ive offices in Beijing and<br />

Buenos Aires.<br />

In Greece, the <strong>Group</strong> controls one of the largest<br />

domestic banking and financial institutions, <strong>EFG</strong><br />

Eurobank Erg<strong>as</strong>i<strong>as</strong> SA, active in retail, corpor<strong>at</strong>e<br />

and investment banking and other rel<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

services. A large portion of the capital of the<br />

l<strong>at</strong>ter is owned by the public through its listing on<br />

the Athens Stock Exchange.<br />

Priv<strong>at</strong>e banking and <strong>as</strong>set management<br />

The <strong>Group</strong> provides a wide range of financial<br />

services and products under the concept of Total<br />

Wealth Management which embraces priv<strong>at</strong>e<br />

banking, <strong>as</strong>set management, financial advisory,<br />

trust administr<strong>at</strong>ion, securities brokerage and<br />

other personal financial services.<br />

The <strong>Group</strong>'s successful growth in priv<strong>at</strong>e banking<br />

is b<strong>as</strong>ed on a str<strong>at</strong>egy th<strong>at</strong> combines business<br />

development incentive schemes, geographical<br />

expansion and selective acquisitions.<br />

Switzerland<br />

The <strong>Group</strong>’s parent bank, <strong>EFG</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> European<br />

Financial <strong>Group</strong>, is b<strong>as</strong>ed in Geneva.<br />

The <strong>Group</strong>'s principal activity in Switzerland is<br />

priv<strong>at</strong>e banking, carried out primarily through<br />

the Zurich head office, Geneva branch and three<br />

Valais offices of <strong>EFG</strong> Priv<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Bank</strong> SA.<br />

Over the years, through the hiring of experienced<br />

client rel<strong>at</strong>ionship officers, <strong>EFG</strong> Priv<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Bank</strong> SA<br />

h<strong>as</strong> grown rapidly and expanded in Switzerland<br />

and overse<strong>as</strong>, with oper<strong>at</strong>ions in Guernsey, Hong<br />

Kong, Miami, Scandinavia, Singapore and<br />

Taiwan. It offers a large range of innov<strong>at</strong>ive<br />

products, tailored to meet client expect<strong>at</strong>ions,<br />

taking advantage of changing financial market<br />

conditions.<br />

From its offices in Sweden and Finland, <strong>EFG</strong><br />

Investment <strong>Bank</strong> AB, a fully licensed bank, offers<br />

structured investment and other priv<strong>at</strong>e banking<br />

products to a large number of Scandinavian<br />

middle-size institutional and priv<strong>at</strong>e clients.<br />

In the Far E<strong>as</strong>t, <strong>EFG</strong> Priv<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Bank</strong> SA h<strong>as</strong><br />

branches in Hong Kong and Singapore <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong><br />

a financial consulting subsidiary in Taiwan.<br />

<strong>EFG</strong> Priv<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Bank</strong> SA services its L<strong>at</strong>in American<br />

clientele through its broker/dealer subsidiary,<br />

<strong>EFG</strong> Capital Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Corp, loc<strong>at</strong>ed in<br />

Miami, and h<strong>as</strong> a represent<strong>at</strong>ive office in Buenos<br />

Aires. Through its US oper<strong>at</strong>ion it also offers<br />

clients around the world efficient securities<br />

trading on the US markets.<br />

In addition, <strong>EFG</strong> Priv<strong>at</strong>e <strong>Bank</strong> SA provides<br />

offshore services through its branch in Guernsey<br />

and its trust administr<strong>at</strong>ion subsidiary in the<br />

British Virgin Islands.<br />
