Only 34 per cent <strong>of</strong> young people were aware they had a care plan. When<br />

this was further explored with young people it became apparent that very<br />

limited numbers <strong>of</strong> young people had been involved in the planning process.<br />

Inpatient Services<br />

Young people were asked to comment on their experiences <strong>of</strong> inpatient<br />

services using themes from the QNIC st<strong>and</strong>ards. Twenty three young people<br />

had experience <strong>of</strong> adolescent in-patient services (Beechcr<strong>of</strong>t <strong>Adolescent</strong> Unit<br />

<strong>and</strong> Donard); 10 young people had experience <strong>of</strong> stays on adult wards; <strong>and</strong>,<br />

three young people had been inpatient in Great Britain treatment centres.<br />
