Requires AMD to provide a list of unused and underused properties and appraisals to TDHCA, which has
60 days to advise AMD on the suitability of these properties for affordable and accessible housing.
Requires AMD to make recommendations for the uses of these properties to the land commissioner,
including a recommendation to transfer property to an appropriate political subdivision, if TDHCA identified
the property as suitable for housing.
Requires the commissioner to incorporate, in a final report, recommendations to transfer state property to a
political subdivision.
Authorizes AMD to develop a process to transfer property and, after legislative approval, to take title and
transfer a property to the political subdivision.
