Options<br />

The options and descriptions for the lfsck command are listed below.<br />

Description<br />

-n<br />

Performs a read-only check; does not repair the filesystem.<br />

-l<br />

Puts orphaned objects into a lost+found directory in the root of the filesystem.<br />

-d<br />

Deletes orphaned objects from the filesystem. Since objects on the OST are usually<br />

only one of several stripes of a file, it is often difficult to put multiple objects back<br />

together into a single usable file.<br />

-h<br />

Prints a brief help message.<br />

--mdsdb ms_database_file<br />

MDS database file created by running e2fsck --mdsdb mds_database_file device on<br />

the MDS backing device.<br />

--ostdb ost1_database_file[,ost2_database_file,...]<br />

OST database files created by running e2fsck --ostdb ost_database_file device on<br />

each OST backing device.<br />
