Week 4 - Love for <strong>the</strong> Church<br />

Objective:<br />

Encouraging <strong>the</strong> child to go to church<br />

Memory Verse:<br />

“I will come into Your house in <strong>the</strong> multitude <strong>of</strong> your mercy” (Psalm 5:7)<br />

Introduction:<br />

Review <strong>the</strong> previous lesson and verse<br />

Ask <strong>the</strong> children if <strong>the</strong>y like to come to church or not?<br />

This lesson will depend on practical acting on how to enter and get out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> church and how<br />

to behave when we are in <strong>the</strong> altar waiting to receive communion<br />

A picture <strong>of</strong> Prophet Samuel.<br />

Lesson Outlines:<br />

When <strong>the</strong> Lord Christ saw some people in <strong>the</strong> temple selling and buying things without<br />

showing respect for <strong>the</strong> House <strong>of</strong> God, He drove <strong>the</strong>m out.<br />

The Lord becomes pleased with you and gives you what you need when you show respect for<br />

<strong>the</strong> church.<br />

Items that should be dealt with:<br />

Kneeling down before <strong>the</strong> sanctuary (study <strong>the</strong> verse)<br />

The holiness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> place and showing respect for it (take <strong>of</strong> your shoes before you enter<br />

<strong>the</strong> sanctuary and keep calm and silent).<br />

Almsgiving (in secret).<br />

Receiving benediction (water, Eulogia, kissing <strong>the</strong> cross).<br />

Behaving well on feast days, wedding parties, etc., according to what is fit within <strong>the</strong><br />

Christian atmosphere. Try to change <strong>the</strong> bad customs spread among <strong>the</strong> children when<br />

<strong>the</strong>y are in <strong>the</strong> church such as:<br />
