Ask <strong>the</strong> students where do you think Jonah went to after <strong>the</strong> fish vomited him?<br />

Lesson Outlines:<br />
When God ordered <strong>the</strong> big fish to vomit Jonah, Jonah went straight to Ninevah <strong>the</strong> great city. He<br />
entered and walked through Ninevah and told <strong>the</strong> people <strong>the</strong>re that God is upset with you because <strong>of</strong><br />
your bad behavior. They were lying, swearing, steeling and doing many o<strong>the</strong>r bad things. He told<br />
<strong>the</strong>m that God is going to destroy your city Ninevah in 40 days. But when <strong>the</strong> people <strong>of</strong> Ninevah<br />
heard what Jonah was saying <strong>the</strong>y were scared and <strong>the</strong>y decided to change and become good people<br />
with better behavior. So, <strong>the</strong>y all fasted with out food and drink for three days even <strong>the</strong>ir king,<br />
children and animals. Every one in <strong>the</strong> city did not eat anything for three days. They all stopped <strong>the</strong><br />
bad things <strong>the</strong>y were doing and changed it with good things like love, kindness and politeness. When<br />
God saw that <strong>the</strong>y became good people He forgave <strong>the</strong>m and decided not to destroy <strong>the</strong>ir city. But<br />
Jonah was upset because he told <strong>the</strong> people that <strong>the</strong>ir city will be destroyed in 40 days and it was not<br />
because God forgave <strong>the</strong> people <strong>of</strong> Ninevah.<br />
