Proposed Coop. Funding Application
Recommendation
Fund as a Low priority. The project addresses water supply priorities of the Board by implementing reclaimed water supply in the
South Central portion of Pasco County. The project is local in its implementation and premature, however if development eventually
occurs in the project area it could provide regional benefits as it is near regional potable water wellfields. The cooperator has
confirmed it will request the necessary matching funds in a future capital improvement program budget. There was sufficient data
submitted to evaluate the project, it is within the Board's statutory authority to fund, and it is not the result of a permit requirement or
enforcement action . The County ranked this project 13th on their list of 15 FY2013 CFI requests.
Description
This FY2013 proposed project for the design and construction of a 24,000 linear foot 16-inch diameter reclaimed water
transmission main along Meadow Point Boulevard between State Road 56 and County Road 54 to serve future planned residential
irrigation customers in Wiregrass and Meadow Point developments.
Benefits
The project will supply future planned developments in the Meadow Point subdivision with reclaimed water (flows and offsets
undetermined).
Costs
The total cost of the project is estimated to be $1,980,000, Pasco County has requested $990,000 in FY2013 funding from the
District for fifty percent of the funding, however their submitted project schedule shows they will only use a portion ($100,000) of the
share in FY2013. As such, District staff reduced the FY2013 District grant to only the amount that will be expended in FY2013. The
remaining District share ($890,000) is anticipated to be requested in future fiscal years. There is no cost benefit for this project as
the customers potentially served by this project have not been built and estimated future flows and offsets have not been
quantified.
Additional Information
Due to the uncertainty of the housing market; customers, flows, and offsets cannot be quantified for this project.
