A. UNIFY FILIPINO·AMERICAN NURSES IN THE USA<br />
AND ITS TERRITORIES.<br />

• PNAO schedules regular monthly meetings<br />
attended by the Executive Board with members<br />
and recruits. We also are doing "facility" meetings<br />
wherein designated "Facility Coordinators"<br />
schedules a meeting when most of the nurses in<br />
their facility are available and Executive Board<br />
members meet with them to update the group<br />
about <strong>PNAA</strong> and PNAO.<br />
• Participates in Regional, National and <br />
International Conventions of <strong>PNAA</strong>. <br />
• Participation in Medical! Surgical Missions in the <br />
Philippines. <br />
• Networking with Nursing Alumni Associations.<br />
• PNAO Social and fundraising events.<br />
• Monthly Mass with and for the Filipino nurses and<br />
their families and friends.<br />
B. DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND EVALUATE<br />
PROGRAMS IN NURSING LEADERSHIP, PRACTICE,<br />
EDUCATION, AND RESEARCH RELEVANT TO<br />
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF IT'S MEMBERS AND<br />
HEAL THCARE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.<br />
• Scholarship program for nursing students <br />
awarded annually. <br />
• . The Education Committee headed by Alicia Tupaz<br />
had conducted seminars for PNAO with<br />
corresponding CEU's through the Ohio League<br />
for Nursing. Alice is also actively pursuing the<br />
processing of CEU Providership forPNAO.<br />
Required documents were sent to Ohio League for<br />
Nursing for approval.<br />
• Participation in research surveys conducted by <br />
<strong>PNAA</strong>. <br />
• PNAO Research Committee conducted a survey<br />
on Membership Issues and implementation is in<br />
. process.
