PNAA GOALS
PNASA INITIATIVES
A. Unify Filipino- American Nurses in the USA and its territories
• PNASA monthly Executive meeting except December.
• PNASA annual general assembly meeting during the month of March.
• Hosting the 6 th South Central Regional Conference on June ,2-3, 2006.
• Geocities.com/pnasa_tx - a website to share info as professional organization.
B. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs in nursing leadership, practice,
education, and research relevant to professional growth of its members and
healthcare needs of the community .
• PNASA Education committee provides annual seminar.
• Participated to the annual Diabetes Expo for health screening and health
education.
• Successful seminar on Brain attack on April 1,2006.
C. Facilitate professional and cultural adjustments of Filipino-American Nurses in
the USA through collaboration with agencies and organizations in the
USA and the Philippines
• PNASA Human Right committee seeks all newly arrived Filipino nurses in San
Antonio and welcomes them.
D. Participate actively in professional and cultural activities with professional
organization and agencies in the community and globally.
• . Partnerships with other Filipino American Organization in San Antonio by
supporting their community outreach program
E. Review and act on legislation and public policies, which directly and indirectly
affect healthcare and nursing practices.
• PNASA is in the process of amending the bylaws
• Each committee will adopt and generate policies and procedures. '
