PNASA INITIATIVES<br />
A. Unify Filipino- American Nurses in the USA and its territories<br />
• PNASA monthly Executive meeting except December.<br />
• PNASA annual general assembly meeting during the month of March.<br />
• Hosting the 6 th South Central Regional Conference on June ,2-3, 2006.<br />
• Geocities.com/pnasa_tx - a website to share info as professional organization.<br />
B. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs in nursing leadership, practice,<br />
education, and research relevant to professional growth of its members and<br />
healthcare needs of the community .<br />
• PNASA Education committee provides annual seminar.<br />
• Participated to the annual Diabetes Expo for health screening and health<br />
education.<br />
• Successful seminar on Brain attack on April 1,2006.<br />
C. Facilitate professional and cultural adjustments of Filipino-American Nurses in<br />
the USA through collaboration with agencies and organizations in the<br />
USA and the Philippines<br />
• PNASA Human Right committee seeks all newly arrived Filipino nurses in San<br />
Antonio and welcomes them.<br />
D. Participate actively in professional and cultural activities with professional<br />
organization and agencies in the community and globally.<br />
• . Partnerships with other Filipino American Organization in San Antonio by<br />
supporting their community outreach program<br />
E. Review and act on legislation and public policies, which directly and indirectly<br />
affect healthcare and nursing practices.<br />
• PNASA is in the process of amending the bylaws<br />
• Each committee will adopt and generate policies and procedures. '<br />
