Visibility Viability Vitality<br />

Relatively new to the <strong>PNAA</strong> family our journey has been challenging and<br />

exciting for all our dedicated, dynamic and vibrant EB. In the spirit of<br />

volunteerism and wholehearted commitment and dedication to the goals and<br />

missions of the <strong>PNAA</strong> the officers and members of the PNAST RGV continue<br />

to press on to the ideals of the <strong>PNAA</strong>.<br />

1. Unify Filipino-American Nurses in the US and its <br />

territories. <br />

~ Everyfirst Thursday of each month has been designated as EB meeting .<br />

~ Ambassadors from each institution in the RGV were created to promote<br />

the organization and its membership . in their respective hospitals<br />

.Ambassadors also serve as resource person for any activity planned by<br />

the organization.<br />

~ Official organization website www.pnastrgv.org was launched to reach<br />

and network with members and other chapters and to access<br />

information, announcement, news worth sharing to all members as well<br />

as potential members who just want to check out happenings in the<br />

organization.<br />

~ Visibility of PNAST RGV has been proven by the attendance and <br />

presence of it's members at each. of the regional, national and <br />

international <strong>PNAA</strong> conferences.. ' <br />

~ Launched activities such as family and friends fishing trip to promote <br />

unity and visibility of the organization that create camaraderie among <br />

Filipino nurses and their family in the community. <br />

2. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs in nursing <br />

leadership, practice, education, and research relevant to <br />

the professional growth of its members and healthcare <br />

needs of the community. <br />

~ Free quarterly CEU's educational programs have been started to<br />

encourage nurses' professional growth.<br />

~ The organization plans to invite speakers to speak on nursing topics at<br />

its membership meetings.<br />

3. Facilitate professional and cultural adjustment of Filipino­<br />

American Nurses in the USA through collaboration with<br />

agencies and organization in the USA and in the<br />

Philippines. ,<br />

~ Membership to the organization , its mission and vision are early on <br />

introduced to new comers and new employees during their orientation <br />
