INSTALLATION<br />
NOTE<br />
The microphone should be installed with the projecting arm to the right side of<br />
the soldier’s mouth.<br />
1. Properly attach microphone (1) to adapter (2).<br />
2. Install pin protector (3).<br />
3. Insert and tighten the screws (4) securing microphone (1) to adapter (2).<br />
CAUTION<br />
Attach the adapter carefully to prevent binding or breaking connector pins.<br />
4. Properly attach the adapter (2) to the facepiece assembly, receptacle (5).<br />
NOTE<br />
The microphone should be angled toward the chin of the facepiece assembly.<br />
Make sure pin protector is in place on pins that are not used.<br />
5. Fold suspension harness to back of facepiece assembly.<br />
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE<br />
Test the microphone using the communications set in the aircraft.<br />
