h. Dynamic Microphone and Microphone Adapter Replacement (Type II Mask) (Cont).<br />
INSTALLATION<br />
1. Properly attach microphone (1) to adapter (2).<br />
2. Tighten the screws (4) securing microphone (1) to adapter (2).<br />
3. Install pin protector (3).<br />
CAUTION<br />
Attach the adapter carefully to prevent bending or breaking connector pins.<br />
4. Properly attach the adapter (2) to the facepiece receptacle (5).<br />
NOTE<br />
The microphone should be angled toward the chin of the facepiece.<br />
Make sure pin protector (3) is in place on pins that are not used.<br />
5. Fold suspension system to back of facepiece.<br />
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE<br />
Test the microphone using the communication set in the aircraft.<br />
