key decisions leads to decision models and the identification<br />

an understanding <strong>of</strong> the scope <strong>of</strong> these integrated systems<br />
that reach across organizational boundaries and can change<br />
how a company does business. Implementation issues are<br />

WCOB455V Service Learning Practicum (1-2)<br />
(FA, SP, SU) Through participation in this practicum, students<br />
learn while providing services that benefit the community.<br />
The goal is for students to learn, practice, and teach the<br />
principles <strong>of</strong> free enterprise. The students assess community<br />
needs and design service projects that enable them to apply<br />
course content knowledge while developing organizational,<br />
communication, time-management, and leadership skills. May<br />
be repeated for 6 hours.<br />

Honors Students with an opportunity to explore a business topic<br />

WCOB6111 Seminar in Business Administration<br />
Teaching I (FA) This course in college level teaching is<br />
designed for graduate students and new college teachers with<br />
specific emphasis on the Business Administration learning and<br />
classroom management. The purpose <strong>of</strong> this course is to introduce<br />
graduate students to principles <strong>of</strong> teaching and learning<br />
and to prepare these future teachers to lifelong learners in the<br />
classroom as teachers. Prerequisite: graduate standing.<br />
WCOB6121 Seminar in Business Administration<br />
Teaching II (FA, SP) Given that the student has successfully<br />
completed Seminar in Business Administration<br />
Teaching I, this course is suggested as the second course in<br />
the sequence. It is designated a ‘hands on’ teaching course.<br />
Students will be assigned a class to teach by their respective<br />
department and will be supervised. In addition, all students in<br />
the class will come together for seminar discussion twice per<br />
month. Prerequisite: WCOB 6111 or equivalent.<br />

Teaching III (FA, SP) This is an advanced course in college<br />
level teaching designed for graduate students and new<br />
college teachers with specific emphasis on the Business<br />
Administration learning and classroom management. The<br />
purpose <strong>of</strong> this course is to enhance graduate students’<br />
knowledge <strong>of</strong> teaching pedagogy given a base knowledge<br />
and classroom experience. This course will focus on current<br />

(IR) Drawing on fiction, poetry, autobiography, and drama<br />
from works written originally in French, Polish, German,<br />
Dutch, English, and Yiddish, this course introduces students<br />
to the Holocaust through literature. Deals with the adequacy<br />
<strong>of</strong> imaginative literature in the face <strong>of</strong> atrocity, the comparative<br />
effectiveness <strong>of</strong> fiction versus autobiography, and the<br />
dangers <strong>of</strong> exploitation and trivialization.<br />
