MAT 230 Basic Multivariable Calculus (3-0-3)<br />
This course includes the following topics: partial derivatives;<br />
extreme problems; multiple integration; continuous probability<br />
distributions; difference equations; management and economic<br />
applications. Prerequisite: MAT 130.<br />
MAT 240 Analytical Geometry and Calculus III(4-0-4)<br />
This course includes the following topics: multivariable calculus,<br />
including vectors, partial derivatives and their applications<br />
to maximum and minimum problems with and without<br />
constraints; line integrals; multiple integrals in rectangular and<br />
other coordinates; and Stokes’ and Green’s theorems.<br />
Prerequisite: MAT 141. (UNIVERSITY TRANSFER)<br />
MAT 242 Differential Equations (4-0-4)<br />
This course includes the following topics: solution of linear<br />
and elementary non-linear differential equations by standard<br />
methods with sufficient linear algebra to solve systems; applications;<br />
series; Laplace transform; and numerical methods.<br />

This course provides an introduction to the profession of medical<br />
assisting, including qualifications, duties, and the role of<br />

MED 104 Medical Assisting Administrative<br />
Procedures (3-3-4)<br />
This course provides a study of receptionist duties, patient<br />
record management, insurance claims processing, IDC-9-CM,<br />
CPT and HCPCS coding, letter writing, computer applications,<br />
and the use of other business machines. Prerequisite: MED 103.<br />
MED 107 Medical Office Management (4-0-4)<br />
This course provides a study of the principles and practices of<br />
banking and accounting procedures, billing methods, and office<br />
management.<br />
MED 114 Medical Assisting Clinical<br />
Procedures (3-3-4)<br />
This course covers examination room techniques, including<br />
vital signs, specialty examination, minor surgical techniques,<br />
and emergency procedures. Prerequisite: MED 112.<br />
MED 115 Medical Office Lab Procedures I (3-3-4)<br />
This course provides a study of laboratory techniques commonly<br />
used in physicians’ offices and other facilities.<br />
Prerequisite: MED 103.<br />
MED 116 Medical Office Lab Procedures II (3-3-4)<br />
This course includes the study of laboratory techniques commonly<br />
used in physicians’ offices and other facilities.<br />

This course provides practical application of administrative and<br />
clinical skills in medical facility environments. Prerequisite:<br />

This course provides a study of medical office pharmacology<br />
and drug calculations along with medication preparation and<br />

MET 215 Dynamics of Machinery (3-3-4)<br />
This course covers the analysis of rigid bodies in rectilinear<br />
translation, rotation, and combined (plane) motion. Emphasis<br />
is on displacement, velocity, and acceleration with application<br />
to dynamic forces (kinetics). Prerequisite: MAT 110 or MAT 182.<br />
MET 224 Hydraulics and Pneumatics (2-3-3)<br />
This course covers basic hydraulics and pneumatic principles<br />
and circuits. System components such as pumps, compressors,<br />
piping, valves, cylinders, fluid motors, accumulators, and receivers<br />
are discussed. Corequisite: MAT 110 or MAT 181.<br />

MGT 101 Principles of Management (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of management theories, emphasizing<br />
the management functions of planning, decision making,<br />
organizing, leading, and controlling.<br />
MGT 110 Office Management (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of various approaches to office organization<br />
and management, personnel selection and training, and<br />
ergonomics in the modern office.<br />
MGT 120 Small Business Management (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of small business management and organization,<br />
forms of ownership, and the process of starting a new<br />
business.<br />
MGT 150 Fundamentals of Supervision (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of supervisory principles and techniques<br />
required to effectively manage human resources in an organization.<br />
First-line management is emphasized. Prerequisite: MGT 101.<br />
MGT 201 Human Resource Management (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of personnel administration functions<br />
within a business organization. Major areas of study include:<br />
job analysis; recruitment; selection and assessment of personnel;<br />
and wage, salary, and benefit administration. Prerequisite:<br />
MGT 101.<br />
MGT 235 Production Management (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of production management techniques<br />
used in a manufacturing environment. Major topics include<br />
forecasting, scheduling, inventory, work flow management, and<br />
quality control. Prerequisites: MAT 155 or equivalent math<br />
