MTT 175 Innovations in Machining<br />
Technology (3-0-3)<br />
This course covers changes in machining technologies, major<br />
advancements in the machine tool field, or specialty training<br />
items. Prerequisite/Corequisite: MTT 212.<br />
MTT 205 Tool and Die Math Applications (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of geometry and trigonometry relevant<br />
to the tool and die trade. Prerequisite: MTT 105.<br />
MTT 211 Die Theory (3-0-3)<br />
This course is a study of die components as they relate to the<br />
complete die. Corequisite: EGT 104.<br />
MTT 212 Tool Design (4-0-4)<br />
This course is a study of the development, material selection,<br />
manufacturing and machining procedures necessary in the production<br />
of tools and tooling. Prerequisites: EGT 104, MTT 124.<br />
MTT 222 Tool and Diemaking Practice I (0-12-4)<br />
This course covers the manufacture of a simple cutting die or<br />
tools. Prerequisite: MTT 126.<br />
MTT 224 Tool and Diemaking Practice II (0-12-4)<br />
This course covers the construction of a compound and/or progressive<br />
die or tools. Prerequisite: MTT 222.<br />
MTT 246 Plastic Moldmaking I (1-3-2)<br />
This course is an introduction to moldmaking and plastics.<br />
MTT 247 Plastic Moldmaking II (2-3-3)<br />
This course is an advanced study of moldmaking and plastics.<br />
MTT 250 Principles of CNC (2-3-3)<br />
This course is an introduction to the coding used in CNC programming.<br />
Prerequisites: MTT 124, MTT 205, EGT 104, or<br />
equivalent work experience.<br />
MTT 251 CNC Operations (2-3-3)<br />
This course is a study of CNC machine controls, setting tools,<br />
and machine limits, and capabilities. Prerequisite: MTT 250.<br />
MTT 253 CNC Programming and Operations (2-3-3)<br />
This course is a study of the planning, programming, selecting<br />
tooling, determining speeds and feeds, setting up, operating,<br />
and testing of CNC programs on CNC machines. Prerequisite:<br />
MTT 251.<br />
MTT 254 CNC Programming I (2-3-3)<br />
This course is a study of CNC programming, including machine<br />
language and computer-assisted programming.<br />
Prerequisites: MTT 253, EGT 151.<br />
MTT 258 Machine Tool CAM (2-3-3)<br />
This course is a study of computer-assisted manufacturing<br />
graphics systems needed to create CNC programs.<br />

This course is an introduction to the study of music with focus<br />
on the elements of music and their relationships, the musical<br />

NUR 100 Pre-Nursing (Non-Degree Credit) (1-0-1)<br />
This course covers an exploration of nursing as a possible<br />
career choice.<br />
NUR 101 Fundamentals of Nursing (4-6-6)<br />
This course facilitates the development of beginning technical<br />
competency in the application of the nursing process to assist<br />
in meeting the needs of selected patients of varying ages.<br />
Through guided classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences,<br />
the student will develop competency in assessment of patients<br />
and in planning and implementing nursing interventions. The<br />
student will assist adult patients with common health problems<br />
and will integrate concepts and principles of growth and<br />
development, communication and nutrition. The student will<br />
acquire a beginning knowledge of the role of the nurse as a<br />
member of the health team. Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing<br />
sequence.<br />
NUR 106 Pharmacologic Basics (2-0-2)<br />
This introductory course outlines the basic concepts of pharmaceutics,<br />
pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotherapeutics.<br />
The process of clinical calculations is<br />
introduced as well as major drug classifications. Corequisite:<br />
NUR 101.<br />
NUR 111 Common Health Problems (3-9-6)<br />
This course facilitates utilization of the nursing process to assist<br />
in meeting the needs of patients with common health problems.<br />
Through guided classroom, laboratory and clinical<br />
experiences, the student develops additional competencies<br />
which will include application of the nursing process, communication,<br />
nutrition, and pharmacology. Prerequisite: NUR 101.<br />
NUR 201 Transition Nursing (2-3-3)<br />
This course facilitates the transition of the practical nurse graduate<br />
to the role of the associate degree nursing student. Emphasis<br />
is on the application of the nursing process in providing<br />
care for patients with common health problems. Concepts from<br />
human anatomy, physiology, nutrition, growth, development<br />
and pharmacology are integrated. Prerequisites: ENG 101, MAT<br />
