Chris Pryor begins his sixth season as director of hockey operations of the <strong>Flyers</strong>. He<br />

was hired by the <strong>Flyers</strong> in the summer of 1999 as a US amateur scout, and served in<br />

that capacity until being promoted to his current position in November of 2006. He<br />

currently oversees the scouting department with assistance from Dave Brown on the<br />

professional side and Dennis Patterson on the amateur ranks.<br />

Prior to joining the <strong>Flyers</strong>, Pryor worked for the New York Islanders from 1992-1999 as<br />

a minor league coach (1992-94), scout (1994-99) and director of player development<br />

(1994-98). After retiring as a player early in the 1992-93 season with the Capital District<br />

Islanders (AHL), he stayed with Capital District as a full time assistant coach for the<br />

remainder of the season and then served as an assistant coach with the Salt Lake<br />

Golden Eagles (IHL) for the 1993-94 season.<br />

Pryor played parts of six seasons in the NHL with the Minnesota North Stars and New<br />

York Islanders (1984-90). He also played for Salt Lake during the 1983-84 season and<br />

Capital District from 1990-92.<br />

Chris and his wife, Joannie, have three children, Mike, Jena and Nick and a West Highland Terrier named Ziggy.<br />

IAN LAPERRIERE Director of Player Development<br />

Ian Laperriere begins his first full season as the <strong>Flyers</strong>’ director of player development.<br />

He was named to the post on a full-time basis on June 29, 2012 following his official<br />

retirement as a player.<br />

Laperriere had previously been assisting the <strong>Flyers</strong> in a player development role while<br />

trying to return from the aftereffects of an injury suffered in the first round of the 2010<br />

playoffs. He also remained active within the organization as a television analyst on<br />

Comcast SportsNet. Following the 2010-11 season, Laperriere won the Bill Masterton<br />

Memorial Trophy for his perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. He<br />

signed with the <strong>Flyers</strong> as a free agent prior to the 2009-10 season and appeared in all 82<br />

games that year, as well as 13 playoff games as the club went to the Stanley Cup Final.<br />

Over his 16 year NHL career, Laperriere played 1,083 games with the <strong>Flyers</strong>, St. Louis,<br />

NY Rangers, Los Angeles, and Colorado, finishing his career with 1,956 PIM-the career<br />

leader among active NHL players at the time of his retirement. He was originally<br />

selected by St. Louis in the seventh round (156th overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.<br />

Laperriere and his wife Magali reside in Haddonfield, NJ with their sons Tristan and Zachary. Laperriere was born on January 19, 1974.<br />
