Sub-<strong>Water</strong>shed: Lost Creek NRCS Sub-<strong>Water</strong>shed Number 170<br />

Landuse: The Lost Creek sub-watershed drains approximately 204 mi 2 in Walker, Fayette,<br />

and Winston Counties. Land cover was mainly forest mixed with mining and pasture<br />

lands. Eight current construction/stormwater authorizations and 25 mining, 3 municipal,<br />

and one industrial process wastewater NPDES permits have been issued in the subwatershed<br />

(Appendix B). Cane Creek, Black Creek, and two segments <strong>of</strong> Lost Creek are<br />

on ADEM’s 2002 §303(d) list for impairments caused by abandoned surface mines<br />

(Appendix C-2).<br />
