<strong>Vigilohm</strong>: functions and characteristics<br />

communicating <strong>Vigilohm</strong> <strong>System</strong><br />

XLI200, XLI300, XTU300 and XAS communication interfaces<br />

use<br />

When two or more communicating devices<br />

(XM300C, XML308/316, XL308/316 or<br />

XD308C) are used or when communication<br />

with a supervisor is required, it is necessary<br />

to connect one (and only one) interface to<br />

the communication bus.<br />

If no XTU300 or XLI300 interface is<br />

included, operation of the <strong>Vigilohm</strong> <strong>System</strong><br />

bus will require an XAS interface.<br />

The interface allows communication<br />

between the <strong>Vigilohm</strong> <strong>System</strong> and a<br />

supervisor or PLC using a JBUS type<br />

protocol (except X25).<br />

It transmits the information provided by the<br />

<strong>Vigilohm</strong> <strong>System</strong>:<br />

c prevention and fault alarms from XM300C<br />

or XML308/316 monitoring devices (only<br />

XM300C for XLI200);<br />

c fault alarms from XML308/316 or<br />

XM308/316 locators (except XLI200);<br />

c insulation resistance and capacitance<br />

measurements;<br />

c threshold settings;<br />

c fault alarms and faulty circuit identification<br />

from XD308C detectors.<br />

The interface also allows the thresholds to<br />

be set form the supervisor.<br />
