Vigilohm: functions and characteristics
XRM mobile fault locating receiver
and current probes
XRM receiver
operation
The XRM mobile receiver, used with a
current probe, is mainly intended as an
enhancement to automatic fault locating
systems. It can be placed at various points
along a faulty circuit, capturing the signal
emitted by an XM300C, XML308/316 or
XM200 insulation monitoring device to
determine the exact location of the fault.
Three current probes are available, the
XM15, XP50 and XP100.
The set of live conductors to be tested must
have a maximum diameter of 12, 50
and 100 mm respectively.

The XRM receiver displays a number
from 0 to 19, corresponding to the insulation
level:
c 0: no fault;
c 19: solid fault (no insulation).
