ELCF has a strong Lutheran identity, but it also is ecumenically<br />
very active and open. In Finland, ELCF maintains close bilateral<br />
contact with the Finnish Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church<br />
in Finland, and also with the Free and Pentecostal Churches.<br />
Multilateral contacts are mainly through FEC, the Finnish Ecumenical<br />
Council. It is a national, ecumenical, cooperative organization<br />
for churches, Christian communities, and parishes in<br />
Finland. With its affiliated members, and fellow organizations,<br />
it is a large ecumenical network. Its members are:<br />
• Evangelical Lutheran Church <strong>of</strong> Finland,<br />
• Finnish Orthodox Church,<br />
• Catholic Church in Finland,<br />
• The Anglican Church in Finland,<br />
• Methodist Church <strong>of</strong> Finland,<br />
• The Evangelical Free Church <strong>of</strong> Finland,<br />
• Salvation Army, Finland,<br />
• Swedish Baptist Church in Finland,<br />
• Finland's Swedish Methodist Church,<br />
• (Free) Mission Church in Finland,<br />
• International Evangelical Church in Finland.<br />
ELCF membership in other ecumenical organizations include:<br />
1. The Nordic Ecumenical Councit<br />
2. The Lutheran World Federation,<br />
3. The World Council <strong>of</strong> Churches,<br />
4. The Conference <strong>of</strong> European Churches.<br />
The Conference <strong>of</strong> European Churches (CEq is a fellowship <strong>of</strong><br />
126 Orthodox, Protestant, Anglican and Old Catholic Churches,<br />
along with 43 associated organizations from all countries on<br />
