Brief Descripon : This lesson deals with various Naonal and Internaonal Fesvals and
their significance.
Learning Objectives
As a result of the lesson, the students will be able to:
• Acquaint and understand the naonal fesvals and their mode of celebraons.
• Understand the significance of Naonal fesvals that are celebrated by the people of
a naon.
• Explore and smulate imaginaon, vocabulary, their aesthec sense and interpersonal
skills.
Material Required
White construcon paper, scks, glue, calligraphy pens, ivory sheet, pictures of things
and events relate to fesvals.
Teacher Activity
Naonal Flag
Show the students images / pictures of the Naonal flag of the country and other
countries. Ask them to observe the colours , shape and size of the flags carefully. Explain
the significance of the flag and the colours used in the flags.
Through a PowerPoint Presentaon, show the photographs of the great leaders of the
country. Discuss how each one contributed and sacrificed their lives for the country.
Organize an event where students dress up as their favourite leader and share facts about
the leader’s life.
Scrolls on Rules and Regulaons:
Divide the students into groups and ask them to make scrolls. Encourage them to think
and formulate rules to maintain discipline in the class. Aer compleng the work the
students display their work in the class.
